What is the best NLP course?

    Hi

i'm looking at doing an NLP course but due to work and family commitments i cant really afford to spend a week in a hotel somewhere away from home so are there viable, credible alternatives on CD or DVD?

     Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Regards

    Hi Leighton

It depends on what you're aim is.

Personally, I found I didn't "get" NLP when I used CDs, so I went on the one week Paul McKenna course with (at the time) Michael Breen and Richard Bandler.

If your aim is to start an NLP business, you'll probably need to attend a course. It's a lot easier to practice the various techniques on other people.

If your aim is to use NLP occasionally, you may get away with a CD or DVD course. Or maybe even get the NLP for Dummies book as a starter - they're usually at least "ok" in quality and will give you an idea as to whether you will be able to learn NLP this way.

    Good luck - it's fun!

    Hi Trevor,

i want to use it for my own purposes, certainly not teaching anyone else or any NLP business. can you use it occasionally? i thought it was more of a way of life thing?

    Hi Leighton

It can be a way of life thing - it's used for all sorts of things including modelling other people's success.

If I was starting out, I'd go for the NLP for Dummies - haven't read it but their books are usually quite good.

Next up, I'd go for an audio program like the one at NLP Secret. Again, I haven't used this particular one but their programs are usually pretty good and there's a refund guarantee. If you do decide to buy, go to the affiliates link at the top of the page, sign up as an affiliate and then buy through the discounted link that you'll see on offer. If you don't go for a refund, 35 days later you'll get half your money back via Paypal.

Then if you want to go further, try a seminar. Or go to one of Christopher Howard's events that are often offered here as free tasters - he uses NLP amongst other stuff. You won't get taught how to do it on the freebie course but you'll get a good idea of whether or not you like the ideas.

Thanks Trevor - "dummies" it is then (my first ever dummies book)
