Rich Dad Poor Dad 2 hr seminar ...

    Hi folks,

just been on the 2 hour Rich Dad Poor Dad seminar thingy in York.  I was interested what they were looking to sell at the end, and since I it was the first time seeing any rich dad poor dad stuff in the UK.

Turns out its a 3 day course for £599 per person, first day looks like rich dad poor dad stuff, 2nd day is all about BMV, and third day is taxes and business. Oh, and you get to play Cashflow Quadrant, twice.

All in all, well presented, and seemed very good value, especially with the Rich Dad brand involved.

     FYI only,

    cheers

Hi Daniel, I'm thinking of going to the Sheffield one.

Is there a hard sell? Is there actually anything to learn on the seminar?

Re: Rich Dad Poor Dad 2 hr seminar ...

Its definitely NOT a hard sell !!

All rather pleasant actually !!  Although they did make you feel guilty at the end "if you want to be successful,go to the back of the room and sign up, and if not well ..." sort of thing, but you should be used to that by now.

Wouldnt say I learnt a lot from it, but I like to think Im fairly well versed these days, as well as being a fairly regular BMV'er, business owner, etc.

Sometimes, going to these things just keeps you motivated, and thats the other reason I went, plus you never quite know if you learn a little piece, that could make some significant change along the way.  It reinforces that what you;re doing is right, and to keep doing it, etc.

It is tempting to send one of my staff on the £599 course, simply to get access to the 60 or so people who are going and network them for my lettings business!

    Hope that helps

    cheers

You could try www.richdad.com but the dates given were for the Leeds one only, but I would have thought that there will be others too.

Something I did learn incidentally, was that if you bank cash, with a cheque, the cash isnt available immediately.  It clears once the cheque clears.  Therefore, you need to fill in two seperate bank deposit slips, one for cash, one for cheque.  I never knew that, but useful to know im sure !

    cheers !

Apparently only with certain banks though!!

I learnt this the hard way when I was a plasterer and with HSBC. I'm with Lloyds now and specifically asked them about this and they promised me it's not the case with them...

Never put them to the test on it though.

I only have dates for Sheffield and surrounding, but the hotline to enquire is 0800 011 4561

Re: Rich Dad Poor Dad 2 hr seminar ...

    Hi guys,

I went on the Rich Dad course last June and I highly recommend to go.  Even though I have attended other courses and being a property investor for the last 6 years, i still learnt alot from the 3 days so just go!!  NB they do sell membership at the end which a friend of my who i recommended to attend (him being a lawyer and very very experienced investor) not only learnt from the 3day but has gained useful knowledge and from the advance education they offer too.
