Property and Land Finder - Local Estate Agents

Hi All, I have recently set up in business as a property and land finder also doing relocation research work.I am based in the East Midlands.

I have enjoyed relative success via internet advertising, websites etc.  But my question is this, would it be seen as reasonable of me to introduce my business to local Estate Agents in order to build relationships with them for when I am sourcing property and/or land on behalf of my clients.  Clearly, I am not an Estate Agent and am not looking to 'steal' their business, in fact, I can only see that if I have a good relationship with them it would be profitable to both their businessess and mine.

Has anybody been in this position?  How did they intorduce themselves to local agents?  did they experience any problems?

All help and advice greatly appreciated,

    Many thanks

    Rebekka

Re: Property and Land Finder - Local Estate Agents

I worked for a property company where we were sourcing properties mainly through estate agents in the North East.

At first some of them are a bit dubious at first , but what i've found the key is being transparent and honest with agents all the time ,also telling them that your in the marketplace to buy property and they are there to sell property. This will build good relationships if done right!

     Hope this Helped.
