*** Set up your own Bank ***

Check out this site www.zopa.com. It has been developed by the team that set up Egg.com and is regulated by the FSA - finanacial services authority.

In summary it allows you to lend money at a rate you set. You can be as strict or relaxed about who borrows from you. Also you can be a borrower as well. The great thing is that Zopa handles the credit checking side of things and the money you lend is spread across different borrowers, thus further reducing the risk!

Yes i have been hearing a lot of hype about p2p lending sites especially zopa has anyone actually used it or anything similar? How was your experience? This could potentially be huge, another way for small home based entrepreneurs to make money. I think it sounds like a good steady and safe way to make money? Any other ideas or opinions on this?

I've put in £50.00 - just waiting for it to clear. I'll let you know how I get on.

The Guru - have you tried and tested this company yet?

I was thinking of using them to fund short term loans (3 - 6 months) for BMV deals that I am doing.  Has anyone done this or used a similar company for the same reasons?
