    BTL ajay ahuja

    Hi everyone,
im a newbie to property investing who lives in germany.
I was wondering what everyone was thinking of Ajay Ahujay
and the services which he offers at:  http://www.buytolethotspots.com
He offers a subscription service which finds out about properties nationwide
yielding 10% as well as the option to do all the paperwork and most importantly
(for me) to get a property manager for the place.

Is it naive to think that i could buy a property in the UK and have it maintained/rented out
via a property manager without ever seeing it (or only seeing it once before buying it?)

Can property managment companies really maintain the property fully, including the
acquisation of the new tennants or do i need to be located in the country/close to the property
    and do the job myself?

In theory it all seems peachy ... what can go wrong?

    david

I would add an other question to the list, if you dont mind David,
Has anybody tried the 2 day trip package, He offers on his website?
(with the possibilities to find and buy 10% yield properties in that 2 days)

    cheers

    Re: BTL ajay ahuja

I would warn anyone from going anywhere near buy to let hotspots or Ajay Ahuja.  I have had a very bad experience investing in BTLH and Ajay Ahuja.  This guy has taken over £7,000 of my money to source property but came up with nothing other than run down slums that clearly did not offer the rental yields he was advertising.  After 3 months and still not getting even 1 of the 5 properties I asked him to source, I asked for a refund, (it stated in the contract he had given me that you could get a refund and only have to pay a £250 admin fee).  He refused to refund the money and over a year later, I am still waiting for my money back, having spent nearly £5,000 in legal fees.  It now looks as though I will be filing to make him bankrupt to get my money back.  It is clear how this guy has made his money, (at the expense of people like myself).  Keep away for Ajay Ahuja and Buy to Let Hotspots like the plague, I cannot stress this strongly enough.  This guy it evidently a crook.  Steve from Croydon

    Hi Guys,

Steve, I am sorry to hear about your bad experience and I now count myself lucky that we only lost £250 to the man in question. At first we were really looking forward to meeting him and boy were we disappointed.

On our journey home (2 hrs), all we spoke about was how angry and frustrated we were. Our perceptions totally changed and to this day, I am still shocked that this chap has written so many books on property.

Hope this answers your question David.

lacoste, if you 're in Germany for a while I suggest you take an interest in Berlin, from reading on this and other forums a lot of the wise money is going in that direction.

It could be a better proposition than the majority of the UK in the present climate.

    Hi Goodtyneguy,

Your reply caught my attention and I was wondering if you have invested in Germany yet?

I came across this company last night: http://www.berlin-capital.com/ and intend to pay them a visit some time next week.

If anyone has any experience of investing in countries such as Germany and Turkey, then I would like to know your views and thoughts.
