Re: The Affluent Desktop Currency Trader

Ok, it's been about 4 months since I wrote the last post and bought the ADCT manual.

Here is what I have to say about it:

I got the manual downloaded from the author's website and I started to study it straight away.

It took me a couple of reads to fully understand everything. Amin's (the author) writing style is great and I understood most of the material easily.

In the 2 weeks it took me to study the manual, I learned a lot of stuff which was completely new to me. You know, there's a lot of stufff to this Forex Trading which you need to know before you take a trade. Luckily, this book started from the bottom and worked its way upwards.

Amin assumes you know nothing and therefore I loved his teaching style as it was aimed at people like me.

I started practicing on a demo account like he suggests and I use 3 of the 8-9 systems he has written down in the manual.

Every single one of those systems which I have tried has produced a profit for me over the last 3 months or so. Sadly, it was on a demo account for 2 of those months. Last month, I opened up a live account and continued to trade those systems. At first, I started losing but I reckon that was due to nerves.

So far, on my live account, over one months trading, I have made a total of exactly $5996, which equates to around £3000.
This may be sheer beginners luck but I need to wait and see if it continues next month.
But as far as I can visualize, it worked for 2 demo months and 1 live month so I don't see why it would let up so suddenly.

Anyway, I still have more systems to explore when the time is right but at the moment, I'm sticking to what works.

I, for one, am very happy with my purchase.

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for posting your feedback on the ADCT manual, which I understand you got for about £55.

I've just bitten the bullet and placed my order for the much higher priced Andy X Insider Signal course (£2300).

As a complete novice, I must say that after reading various 'reviews' on SP, I'm a little apprehensive as I wait for my 10 cd's, etc. to arrive - especially after hearing of your success so far with ADCT.

What I'd like to know, is whether you get any one-to-one personal assistance with the course you've been using - or is it just a case of reading the manual and putting it into practice?

    Thanks, and good luck!

Re: The Affluent Desktop Currency Trader

I just emailed the man behind ADCT to ask how his course intrinsically differs from the Andy X Insider Signal course (apart from the obviously massive price difference).

    This was his reply:

"From what other people have told me, my course is 95% the same as his. I teach 9 different systems whereas he teaches one.

He teaches something called Pivot Points and I don't, because I believe that you should learn that a little later when you're more proficient at trading.

He sells his course on 10 CDs whereas I sell it in book form and 1 CD.

Hope this clears up the differences.

    Amin"

Is it really better to get your head around nine different systems, rather than just one?  Is learning 'Pivot Points' really much more difficult to master than any other method?  Could somebody please enlighten me?

    Thanks!

Re: The Affluent Desktop Currency Trader

For the record, I just cancelled my Alex X Insider Signal order before they (Agora Lifestyles Ltd) despatched it to me.  No questions asked, and full refund on its way.

What I found incredible about Andy X's course, is that since I ordered it 5 days ago, all I had received was an automated email receipt.  No other contact whatsoever - and there's no way of getting in touch with the guy to ask him questions until you've actually received the kit (or so it seems).

Amin, of ADCT, on the other hand, encourages people to contact him with queries before purchasing, and got back to me within a few minutes after I'd emailed him.

Re: The Affluent Desktop Currency Trader

    Abuxton,

I may be a bit cinical but are you a affiliate of ADCT? Is this scheme not similar to the poker, black jack or the horse racing , where you make progessive bets - which make similar guarantees and sell for 1p on ebay. You do not say how much you "spent" to make 3000? Have you withdrawn the 3000 or do you have to plough that in the system.  You may be absolutely correct and it turns out to be a winner, in which case how much time did you  spend learning the system? Finally, did you read the disclaimer which completely contradicts the whole guarantee.

    thanks

    Kotewala

Re: The Affluent Desktop Currency Trader

Sorry for the late reply guys. I've been a bit busy with my own trading.

In answer to some of the questions here,
Pivot Points are simply traded just like any other system. There's a lot of info on it everywhere so its not much of a secret.

I use 3-4 systems out of the ADCT manual because they work for me. Sometimes, I may not be able to use a particular system and so I use another one in that situation. This is why I find the choice of systems extremely good - for me anyway.

Kotewala, No, I'm not an affiliate. I just love the info he's provided in the manual. It's the only book I've read which I can class as a real Biz Op.

Forex Trading is nothing like Black Jack or other Gambling system simply because trading involves making educated decisions. Now I know what to do so I don't act like a gambler.

I made 3000 whilst having a starting balance of a lot less. I haven;t withdrawn any of that money yet because I'd like to build my own account and therefore gain more profits at a later stage.

I did read the disclaimer now that you have mentioned it. All I can say is, I understand where he is coming from. I don't think anyone can GUARANTEE that you will make money because they don't know what you will do with the information presented.
In any case, I continue to make money from FX trading as a direct result of what I have learned.

You need to make your own decisions.
