WARNING - SELLING PAUL McKENNA ITEMS

Just thought I would give you all a warning - DO NOT try to sell Paul McKenna items on ebay - as he will get them removed, and if you do it again, will try and get you suspended and/or banned from ebay.

I'm not talking about copies/counterfeits here, I am talking about selling the genuine item.  Ebay have a system called "VeRO" (Verified Rights Ownership) which the owner of the material (i.e Paul McKenna) has the right to complain and have removed anyone selling copies.  However, it does not mean that he or anyone else can complain about genuine items, that have been purchased and then are on ebay for re-sale.

However, Paul IS complaining about genuine items being sold (in fact, HE is breaking the rules of VeRO, the very rules that he uses to get items removed). His agent does a search for Paul McKenna in the ebay search engines, and gets EVERYTHING removed.

He is even trying to take people to court for selling his items on ebay.

I came across this by listing a few CD's that I had purchased, used and did not want any more.  My items were immediately removed, and my bidders (3 of them) were all sent an email saying that they had been removed because they were counterfeit items.
By doing this Paul has damaged my reputation as an ebay seller.  I am very angry, and considering taking legal action against him and his managment company. This would of course also implicate ebay, as they do not take the time to check wheether an item being sold is genuine or not, before they remove it at the request of a VeRO member.

Havin checked on the Ebay community, I find that I am not the only one!  Other people have had genuine Paul McKenna items removed too.

I will repost once this has been resolved, but I thought I ought to warn you about what is going on.

One more thing - I used to like Paul McKenna - I absolutely abhore him now, and would quite happily give his stuff away at a car boot sale (I wonder if he would appear at my side, and tell me I can't do that either!). His reputation with me is in tatters.  I will NEVER purchase any of his material every again.

    Hi Angie

You could always turn this round into a positive and sell the items through the Amazon system instead...

If he's so bloody clever why doesn't he just hypnotise anyone trying to sell his items. YOU WILL NOT SELL MY ITEMS ON EBAY

Should you not be taking this up with eBay? If they have ballsed-up by their own rules, youshoud have a valid case for having your auction re-instated, shouldn't you?

Re: WARNING - SELLING PAUL McKENNA ITEMS

    James

I HAVE taken it up with Ebay - several emails have gone back and forth from us both.  But if you have ever dealt with Ebay in a matter such as this, you will know that you get a lot of scripted, standard replies, each one going on about how VeRO owners can ask for their items to be removed, and the VeRO owners rights......Ebay say that as they cannot tell whether the items are real, they leave the matter in the hands of the VeRO owners - which means of course that they can do what they want!

Ebay are very slow to investigate matters like this, there are several complaints in at the momment about Paul McKenna and his management team, but Ebay just seem to put them to one side.

Re: WARNING - SELLING PAUL McKENNA ITEMS

    Hi angie54321,
Nothing to do with Paul McKenna but I must agree with you on dealing with ebay, I've found it to be a waste of time. I bought an item ages ago that was deliberately worded to mislead, the seller was not interested because he had my money and Ebay were not interested either, It's all about money for them after all. It has taught me to be very cautious and read the item descriptions very carefully. This has however been my only bad experience in three years as everyone else I have dealt with has been genuine.
    PS.
    Never liked PM much anyway!!!!!
Good luck, hope you get things sorted.

Re: WARNING - SELLING PAUL McKENNA ITEMS

Well it aint working. An e-bay search for Paul McKenna gave 175 matches!. As for paying for his stuff when its available free on Morpheus etc - plain silly. Lets see him try and stop that!!

Incidentally, my opinion of him is that he's a very poor copy of Anthony Robbins.

I also think he's a twat - especially when he put on that stupid low voice - cheesy
