    Secker Investment institute

Has anyone been on their weekend seminar?

    Any feedback good or bad?

    RE: Secker Investment institute

How much are they charging ?. Remember the saying, "Those who can - do; those who can't - teach". (And the latest addition, those who can't teach become consultants).

Let's face it, if you were happily making 20% per month on your portfolio would you want anyone else to know how you did it ?.

Hi, I've been on the free seminar but didn’t think he gave anything away. He came across as something like a double glazing salesman.

Not sure that I would pay £2400 to hear what he had to say.

Sorry I can't be any further help

    RE: Secker Investment institute

    Hi guys...

I did the course from Greg Secker in November 2004. I think your comment (diesel) is a bit harsh....?!
Greg is a real trader, make no mistake. The course material was excellent - Greg is probably the only trader who has run trading floors around the world, currently trains the E*Trade guys and actively trades (and I have seen it live with my own eyes - impressive stuff....) understands and can ensure you understand how the market works and genuinely comes from a good place. I know there are other people out there that the same cannot be said - check out Greg on the internet - I did thorough research - the lad was vice president at 24 of a major investment bank (head of trading strategy)...you don't give up that kind of income if you aren't comfortable - to do semiars.....think about it...

I have been coached for the last 5 months and have increased my monthly gains from 8% in November, to last month I posted 31%! So I am very happy with my results and the access to Greg and the improvements I have made. I am now actively trading pivots on swing positions and use his advanced strategies on my position trades on UK and US - in a word or two, it works!!

What I have found is coaching really works. Here is my experience...

    1) The Secker course has limited numbers - he is not interested in hundreds of people, but more interested in people who want to learn how to trade and make a good living from it.
    2) The coaches that work with him are dedicated. I have been coached late into the night (up to 2am one night) - if you are up for itl, they really support you.
    3) The course is excellent - the follow up is superb. You must get stuck in....but the team spirit from all the grads is excellent....I have done other courses and I have to say nothing comes close to what this offers.

If i can be of any further help let me know......

All the best and good luck with search....if you're serious about making money from the markets go and check out the seckerman, I know us private investors are a sceptical (sometimes green) crowd when it comes to trainers, I was after seeing dodgy darren in action. But if you listen to all the nay-sayers and never try you'll never know....and all I can say is when it comes to Greg, I am glad I did !

    RE: Secker Investment institute

I love the way Alan's post reads more like a marketing message than a post from a normal guy on the street.

A tip for everyone who's thinking of paying for one of Sucker's courses. If he mentions anything about options and how you can earn 10% a month for virtually doing nothing, STAY WELL CLEAR BECAUSE IT'S AN OUTRIGHT LIE.

You won't be ale to make anything like 10% but then you also won't understand anything about options so will be very easily deceived by the bogus figures that are put up to prove the point. Of course when you're a little bit more experienced and try to put some of these trades on you'll soon realise that you've been had, but of course Sucker has your money.

Remember - Secker seeks Suckers to make money.............

Check out the Trade2Win.co.uk board and see how this guy uses the same markting messages as the notorious Chris Master's who made millions out of the financially unsophisticated (but greedy) in the laste 1990's. You never hear any of his ex-students singing his praises do you?

    Re: RE: Secker Investment institute

    Alan,

If we leave aside that Greg worked on the IT side at Thomas Cook and Mellon and that he presumably teaches at e*trade with his background than the most important question becomes how many of his seminar participants actually are achieving anything near the 15% per month (!) he claims?

Are you the only one who got propelled into that super trader status?

Alan, do you dare to answer?

    Re: RE: Secker Investment institute

I attended free seminars from Darren Winters and Greg Secker and then researched both on the internet and elsewhere. The Secker courses got higher ratings universally.

I then looked at the costs and although lots of other options which were often a fair bit cheaper, what appealed to me was the follow up coaching,

I guess we have all been to eminars left full of good intentions and never done much or anything afterwards.

So I did the course in October 2005, and it was a lot to take in over one weekend. But the 3 half hour coaching sessions clarified any queries and actually got me started.

November made 6% December was on holiday for most of month but still made 7.2%,  January  16.3% and February 17.4% so I am very happy with my decision.

Every Weds there is a conference call and addditional training and I have found them straight forward to deal with and helpful,

You will find good and bad comments on line in the various forums, mostly moaning about the cost and how 15% a month is not achievable etc. In most instances these comments are based on hearsay and not from people that have done the course or from those who resent their success. However further research will throw up items from Gregs corporate life before and since starting his training business. These Companies are not going to give high profile to anyone who is not kosher.

If you are a beginner and can afford it I recommend the course as a good way to start and get you actively trading.

However the first rule of trading is always do your own research and then act.

    Good trading

    Re: RE: Secker Investment institute

    hi there,

i attended the course this weekend and have got to say from someone that knows nothing about trading or the world that surrounds it i found it easy to understand and extremly encouraging, his success rate is phenominal, and this is not something he tells you but coaches and support coaches who are on hand to help every second of the two days, are the proof that his strategy works, he is very dedicated in making sure you really understand every aspect of his strategy and will stay with you all night if thats what it takes. the only bad thing i could say about the two days is that i feel it should of been over 3 days as there was alot of information to take in, however as i said i was starting from scratch and therefore maybe a little behind in knowledge to everyone else. all in all i am not one to get sucked in by courses however i feel that i now have the sufficient knowledge in order to become a successful trader. i would recommend the course however i have not yet started trading , and therefore have not seen the results for myself, although my father did the course a while back and is now on an average of 20% a month. if you have the chance to attend the 2 day course then i would highly recommend it.
