I spoke with my contact in the DR this morning and was told no work has been accomplished to date. I am afraid, Nick and others are correct in their assumptions that we have probably lost most, if not all, of our investment. I am one of the wishful thinkers with two marina apartments who has been sitting on the sidelines hoping for the situation to right itself.
It seems the time has come when only some type of action, legal or otherwise, must be initiated. I believe it requires a united front, with the participation of all investors. We need to have a strategy and strength in numbers if we hope to recoup any funds. We may not be able to accomplish our ends with the efforts of just a few.
I am open to participation in any avenue which can further our efforts. It may be retaining a reputable law firm with the resources and a strong international presence in these matters. As has been mentioned, it may be www.chamberintlawyers.com. I don’t know? Let’s not forget we are dealing with someone who has very deep pockets filled with our money.
