    Alex

Great Positive Attitude mate..... are you a sales agent selling on Punta Perla? Forgive me for my cynicism but nobody involved in this project is 'up beat' apart from the sales agents. If this is the case then I suggest you publish the facts that you have because god knows Punta Perla needs some PR based on substance. If there is any substance in your findings then I suggest you post asap. Everyone here who has invested in PP is sick of the bollox hype (we don't need any more) so whats the substance to your findings?

    whats the beef?

    Re: PUNTA PERLA

    Dear Reidpot

..also don't listen to the co-owners of PP sales, everything they've said has been a load of empty promises. I like the guys but I'm afraid they have zero control on this project and all their estimates and management of expectations have been a disaster.  So I would not attribute any gravitas to the conversation you refer to.

There is only one thing that will turn the sentiment of this 74 page thread around and i can tell you it's not sales bulls&it so spare us and give us some substance...

    Hi

I have invested in Punta Perla, and whilst I do not mind things taking a little longer, than first pro-posed, it would be good for the developer to start sending out more positive news on a very regular basis. That is all we need to stay excited about what could be a great project. Show us new pictures, send us a monthly news letter, this is not rocket science.

    Regards The Cornstore

    Re: PUNTA PERLA

This would be quite easy to do.  Any teenage girl could take pictures on her cell phone in one minute, and distribute them to the enitre internet 5 minutes later.

    Re: PUNTA PERLA

i don’t think you guys are getting the point. There is no point in taking photos of zero progress. That’s the problem. Given that work started January - there should be some tangible construction going on. It looks to me that  they created the illusion that work had started so they didn’t have to return deposits to investors who had it written into their contract that work starts Jan 08 or they get their money back. If work genuinely started in Jan 08 then there would be glimpses of a promising club house by now.

Reidpot, you broke the news about PP breaking ground - they've been at it now for nearly 4 months - what have they achieved? What does the clubhouse look like? How much progress have they made?

    Re: PUNTA PERLA

There has been no news at all. The website is static and nothing's selling. I completely agree with you PK. The reason they announced the commencement of works is because they would have to refund deposits had they not.

On this, as they clearly have done nothing, where does this leave investors? Do they still have a right to a refund (+ costs)? It would be an interesting question to pose to the lawyers........

    Re: PUNTA PERLA

Punta Perla Sales has now been re-branded and is now known as Emerging Earth, for those that didn`t already know. They are now no longer exclusive to Punta Perla which I`m sure also means there participation here will be less than before and there focus will be directed elsewhere. I am by no means suggesting they are not as keen as us to see this development  started, but when you have another project to get underway and new properties to sell, the urgency may not be what it was 6 months ago.

They are merely the sales force in this project with little or no say in the developers plan. The developer is responsible for providing investors that have parted with hundreds of millions of pounds with explanations as to what is happening and there hasn`t been jack. This is what really disappoints me and something that concerns me for the future. It`s the worst business ethic that can be applied and leads to much discontent, and lets face it, there has been no word in nearly 3 years so lets not expect photos or updates or statements or anything else that is relevant here, after all, we`re only investors, we don`t matter, we`ve paid our money, signed our contract, and that`s as much as we need to have done and to know.

I think we all know what is expected in 2008, these next few months will confirm the reality of this project and if nothing happens I certainly know what I will be doing.
