Can anyone point out the main things to look for when buying garages? What's the best way to finance such a purchase? Is it better to go for a unsecured loan over a commercial mortgage as it's probably cheaper?

I was at an auction recently and asked a Natwest Commercial Broker what is the best LTV on Garages, he said 70% and at the time, interest rate was 8.5%

If I was buying, I would look for  a way of gaining planning in the future to build one of two houses, you would have to buy a block of 10 or more garages as one lot for this to work though.

Allsop have blocks of garages come up for auction now and again.
