Hi there all, i have just gone live with my BMV website and was wondering if anyone had a few suggestions on how to market my site? I have signed up with google adwords and thats about it really apart from posting a couple of topics on forums such as this. Hi Andrew,

Congratulations on the new website.

Now you need to turn it into a web business. I assume you are doing this to make money selling leads.

Starting an online business is something that requires a lot of research and in turn a lot of work to grow it once it's up and running.

Your first step should be finding your customers and to do this you need to know where they hang out and what they are searching for. Well done. You have found those people here at this forum.

Now you need to ask what type of lead they are looking for. I know I used to look for BMV deals but since the rates to borrow are now very high it seems to be getting harder to convert these. This is just my opinion by the way and not my expert opinion.

So, how do you promote your web business?

Firstly you can get instant traffic to your site by using adwords. Adwords is an amazing tool if used correctly. When I say correctly I mean getting the best conversion rate for the least money.

I actually spent a few months working out exactly how to get it right with a lot of help from a true expert.

The other way to get traffic to your site is with SEO. There are two types, on page and off page. At the moment you have no on page SEO looking at your code.

Off page is all about writing and getting back links to your site. You can write in forums and use anchor text like you see above with the highlighted text.

Before you do any of this you must know what keywords to use and what problem statements you are looking to solve.

If you are looking for a free website tool to build your site and fill in on page date then try this www.nvu.com  it's free.

It has it's own FTP area so it's easy to upload.

May I also suggest you try to capture visitors details so you can add more value to the time they spend on your site.

Oh, and if you are going to use Adwords, I would also add the analytics script to your code. This way you can track and test everything.

Start with one thing at a time and then once you are up and running do a little of each every day. Always look at tweeking your site and keywords.
