has anyone invested here or been to this area?reading excellent reviews.is finance available in egypt?

To date, mortgage finance is coming on stream in Egypt slowly, some French banks eg. Societe General were the first in the mix. Some developers do developer finance, is quite expensive eg. 8% etc interest rates, but is a good way to get into the market on a small entry price. Some front line developments start at 15k sterling or less with developer finance.

I know some of the developers are speaking with banks, the Sahl Hasheesh area unlike Sharm, is freehold, so you can, or in the future get loan finance.

I have invested in hurghada but would have liked to have invested in Sahl hasheesh but the man to make the deal wasn't available. I am now looking at Pyramisa hotel in sahl as it was amazing. Egypt you will either like or hate.

Sahl Hasheesh is one of the more talked about areas when considering overseas investment property. It is definately worth considering as its up and coming and very nice developments at very resonable prices. 

It is all down to choice. Sahl Hasheesh is more upmarket, 3 golf courses, luxury products and more expensive.

Hurghada is more down town, some parts are a bit of mess, but it is cheaper. Local people say rental yields in Hurghada are actually quite good, but you need to know how to work in the Hurghada market. As a guide Sahl Hasheesh is about double the price of Hurghada.

The pyramisa hotel in Sharm is Excellent in every way,It has two gigantic pools and is located on the beach too,they do have rooms for sale and also offer rental guarantees for perspective buyers,together with a buyback clause if required.

Sahl is still developing so will definately be an investment hot spot for the future.

I have heard it is stunning, the diving there is supposed to be fantastic. Finance in Egypt is still quite a grey area. A lot of developers are promising finance but there seems to be a little proof. I think some developers are doing their own in house finance packages.
