    Red Sea Property in Egypt

I have relatively recently brought a property in El Gouna in Egypt and am now considering buying a second along that part of the coast as it has worked well for me so far.

I thought it was best to look at my options rather than immediately plumping for El Gouna again. There is so much available that I wondered if anyone had brought in Hurghada or Sahl Hasheesh and can share there experience of buying and any developments that they think are good.

    Tracey,

Could you expand on why "it has worked well" for you so far.

    Hi Tracey,

I have bought a property in Hurghada and would recommend this and the surrounding areas to anybody looking for a holiday home or investment within Egypt.

There are a lot of good developments out there, however nearly everything around at the moment is late in being handed over to new owners.

I do like both El-Gouna and Sahl Hasheesh too as well as Hurghada,I think the best thing to do is to buy a property that is nearing completion where you can see what you are buying.

This way you may also be able to see what the quality of finish may be before you purchase.

I do sell property in Egypt and even though bought mine off plan,I certainly would never go down this road again for obvious reasons.

Have a good look on the reasons you are buying for whether for investment or for your personal use etc this may point you in the right direction.

It's hard to say any one development is good as very few are yet complete.

As you know El-Gouna is a remarkable place and does have exclusivity, excellent beaches, hotels etc.

The good thing around the above mentioned areas is that you are never more then 10 inutes away from the sea no matter where you go.

Good luck in the hunt for your new property, please let us know of the outcome if you don't mind.

I was recently over in Hurghada and Sahl Hasheesh viewing developments, I would particular recommend Sahl Hasheesh although the property prices are high than Hurgharda there are some great sea views to be had. If you would like any more advice please let me know and I can recommend certain properties

Hi there, are you looking for any investment opportunities along the Red Sea coast or New Cairo.

I'm a property consultant working for the largest independant developer in the Middle East and North Africa.

We are developing the largest leisure destination along the Red Sea coast. A 320 million sq. feet. project which will take 10 years to complete.

We are the master developer of this project. Its called Gamsha Bay!

    Hi Nicky,

I am not currently looking at investing in Egypt,if I do decide in future to have another dabble then i'm afraid it would have to be to buy something nearing completion.

I signed contracts in Oct 2006,the finish date was supposed to be April 08,however we are just about ready to finalise and receive the keys.

I admit it is cheaper to buy off plan but I certainly wouldnt recommend it in the future.
