Commercial property with a Post Box

Hi there, I have just bought my first commercial property and its has a post box within the boundery (it used to be a post office), does anyone know if you can claim rent from Royal Mail?

If not I'll probably leave it there as it brings people to the shop.

    Cool

Re: Commercial property with a Post Box

I too am buying a shop with office above that has a post box within the boundaries.  The shop will be my new office/BMV, repossession stopping shop.  I hadn't thought about the rent angle but i'm pretty sure that the Post Office would have put a clause in the contract when they sold the post office orignally.  i will get my solicitor to check and report bakck!

    Hi Jem

Did you have any joy with the Post Box question to your solicitor?

    Thanks
