Property Networking Club - How to get the most out of a 1st visit

    Hi All,

I'm off to my first Property Networking Club meeting in three weeks time.  Can anybody give me some pointers about how to make the most of the evening?

I'm just starting out in investing in property, having spent way too long researching...  Myself and a business partner are looking to buy our first property in Surrey in the next three to four months.  As I implied, analysis paralysis is creeping in and we're keen to make the most of the meeting to get things moving.  Any tips?

    Hi,

For starters take a list of questions as long which you need answering. Go with an open mind and be willing to impart information as much as receive and you won't go for wrong in my opinion.

Re: Property Networking Club - How to get the most out of a 1st visit

I sometimes find it fascinating at networking events  - this business is primarily a male dominiated one, and, as a "mature" woman  i frequently say hello to young men many of whom dismiss me with barely a glance (when i don't wear a name badge).    I can see it is their eyes, "lets look for a young dynamic male who Really Knows what he is doing - what can this person know".  it amuses me  Smile [:)].

so my advice would be twofold  -    never make assumptions about who knows what, and use your ears twice as much as your voice  - no one ever learnt by talking to/at others all the time.

I have to agree with Clottie, two ears one mouth, or as an old mentor once said "listen ,learn, earn".

Houses wanted in Hull to £80k. All considered- burn outs /refurbs or refurbished. Fast completions no surveys. Commissions paid!
Now taking on cost cutting refurbs/management Croydon and Hull.

Clottie, when I first gazed into your eyes............my heart raced...............my palms became sweaty.................my mind was skipping through virtual daisy fields.....................but you spoilt it all with that cup of tea, just how old was that tea bag??

Seriously though I have to agree, you do have a vast amount of knowledge. Well worth tapping into!!!
