    Hi Everyone

We made the decision this week, after much careful consideration and research, not to proceed with our purchase at Bahama Bay.

We are effectively walking away from £22,000-BUT if we continued, we believe that we could have lost a lot more.

We have searched several rental websites and have been amazed how much availbility there is on the complex.

Coupled with the increased mortgage costs and high monthly fees-there is no way that this investment can stack up.

This is an awful decision to have to make but one that I made for my Basingstoke property (IAP of course). If you were able to hold the property long enough (years and years) you might see it come good, but like you I think it is much more likely that a lot of money will go down a big black hole first. At least by making the decision you are drawing a line under it and you can get back to more normal levels of stress, and get on with life. I hope whatever comes up next for you proves to be a lot better an experience. Kind regards

A very difficult decision to make, but you have had the sense to look at the long term potential loss (unlimited) compared to the immediate term. Right call.

Hello dear friends, I have been chatting to someone who asked me what a gifted deposit was and how Inside Track made it work in thier deals? I couldn't answer that very easily, any input from fellow piggers to explain this?

Hi janet, I to have been unfortunate enough to be in the same situation. At the present time we have not been been told that we need to apply for a mortgage yet and only have an idea that our appartment at Bahama Bay is to compleated before the end of the year. We also have been waiting years for the development to be compleated. Would you have any contact names/numbers with reference to getting my deposit back from the developers. I know this is unlikly but if enough of us stand together we might get somewhere. I am willing to join any group that will oppose inside track so if anyone has any details please kep me in the loop. Has any one found a law firm that would help us all?

    Many thanks.

doctordaz - you are in the same boat as many others here - may i offer my sympathies and recommend that you "Search"  (top right of your screen) for Inside Track and  read whatever you can find - then contact those posters who you think are knowledgeable via private message  - dont forget this is an internationally available site and IT read it all the time - dont give them clues as to what you may want to do ........

Hi clottie and thank you for your warm welcome. Will do as you suggest and hope we I can find somone that may have some usefull information. The sily thing is that bahama bay looks a nice place to stay and would not mind owning an appartment there. Just dont like being ripped off.
