    Re: World Capital partners

Not all investors in Fort Apache get the US Base rate + 5%. It seems the +5% was not included in the latter contracts to other WCP clients I've had contact with.

As for payment dates I understand the last payment date they have to pay us by for Fort apache is 12 months from March 31st 2008 or April 1st 2009.

1 of my contacts was wise enough to have this changed in their favour before signing - they removed the extensions!! Well Done - wish I thought of that. Did anyone else have the foresight to do this?

    Re: World Capital partners

Hi there, i have also invested in WCP, my contract did have a extension clause init and also interest based on US base rates, your contact who had the clasued changed has he/she got their return?

When i came accross WCP, i was very impressed by what they had to say and going to their offices made it more profesional, i did my due dilligence and was satisfied and hence invested in them, however the current situation doesn't help and i do hope we get all our money back!

    Re: World Capital partners

I had invested in Fort Apache and the Durago Lofts builds. The contact I referred to had changed the wording on the Durago Lofts investment not the Fort Apache - sorry for the confusion.

No they have not yet been paid but they were wise enough to have changed it to start with. They are due their payout this Xmas time and I wish them all the best as it will be a good showing for all concerned. I have not come across anyone to date that has been paid out but am aware WCP now offer an off plan investment with guarantees, has anyone taken a look at this or invested?

You see some odd stuff when you visit sites based in other countries, but this one really stands  out.

I'd worry about any company with the bad taste and cultural insensitivity to name a development "Fort Apache". How much can they know about the area they are developing when they have chosen a name that is so offensive?

    Re: World Capital partners

    hi folks

yep, i'm new to this site so please forgive any faux pas.

WCP are hardly my favourite bunch of people at the moment. i have invested in the fort apache development. mr rod neilson appears to have forgotten his manners and simply does not respond to any email correspondence. they only respond to threats of contacting the FSA. Even then all you get is excuses from the various people you get to talk to (in my experience when you are looking for your money, you speak to all and sundry, I'm expecting them to put the beverage technician on next. Where's/ who's the boss?). I am still awaiting a response from my last message I sent which was a week ago. As for expecting the payout of this development to take place any time before we all band together and take them court, I doubt that is going to happen. I think you should certainly prepare yourself for a raft of excuses and very predictably another extension. i think we've all been taken for a long, less than enjoyable, ride folks.

This was my first foray into overseas investing, (I have other interests in the UK), but I must say, I was impressed with WCP's patter etc, at the outset I ensured I asked about the possibility of an extension. I was told it was highly unlikely and that it certainly had not happened in the past on other developments. Hmmmm, fool be me. So, good luck to all othern WCP investors - don't promise the kids a nice chrissiepressie though, I somehow doubt there will be a happy outcome to this one.

    Re: World Capital partners

I am very pleased and relieved to find this site where there are others who have invested in Las Vegas developments and WPP.  I am very frustrated by the lack of return on the money I put in, and feel rather foolish and frightened, being constantly charmed and fobbed off by WPP staff.  I also asked a friend to go see in LV and was surprised to find nothing built, since during one conversation, WPP said delays were caused by precise and demanding building regulations!  However, I am encouraged to read the confidence that several people feel that we will all eventually get paid out, even if it takes longer than was originally suggested.

I had thought of asking a journalist friend of mine to write an article about them, but of course WPP are careful to exclude this sort of thing in the contract.  Thanks to most of you for your continued positivity and I look forward to learning more.

    Re: World Capital partners

I've invested in Durango Lofts and signed a revised contract earlier this year that is supposed to secure the 70% ROI.

Whenever I speak to WCP I am told that they had problems with Fort Apache building regulations, but that Durango Lofts is on schedule for initial payments at the end of the year / early 2009.

However, I see no evidence that anyone has actually received their 70% (or 80%) back and I'd be grateful if someone would provide information if they receive their payments?

I'm a small-scale investor and the loss of this money (or even the failure to secure the expected return) would cause problems, so please could somebody add some good news to this discussion if they receive any Smile

Even with the extensions (up to 12 months) built into the contracts, should Fort Apache not be paying out soon?

Also, does anybody know if building work on Durango Lofts is progressing to schedule (i.e. is the information being provided by WCP correct)?

    Many Thanks.

    Re: World Capital partners

Brian, I too invested in Durango Lofts and agreed to an amendment to the contract in February which guaranteed the 70% profit.

I got a call in March offering me the same deal on another unit as the individual had run into difficulties and needed to sell.  I declined as I didn't want further exposure and risk to the same investment.

I have called and emailed WCP a couple of times in the last 6 months to check on progress and been told it is on schedule for a December completion and January payout.  I had another confirmation as recently as a couple of weeks ago and was told to expect a newsletter in the coming weeks.

Having said all that I am nervous, particularly in light of the fact that payout has not occurred on the other deal - as it is due in September I will be watching this thread closely!

Unfortunately I have been unable to find proof on the internet that Durango is indeed on schedule - I would have thought it would have been marketed at this stage.

If anyone knows anything more I would be VERY grateful for the info.
