Not a bad idea if it gets to that stage, if someone has the knowledge and time to set this up.

Why not wait until payment is due on Fort Apache in September. If there is no payment, then I think this will be very useful indeed.

I'm sure more people would be willing to air their views in a closed forum.

    Re: World Capital partners

    Hi all,

I'm been looking at investing with this company for some time and, like others here, Ive been both wary but also very impressed when speaking to people on the phone. They have invited me to their office in London, but as yet, I've not had the time to go in.  I've never done anything like this before and I would be risking my life savings, so I'm very cautious about parting with what will otherwise be effectively my pension.  It would be great if those who have already invested would keep us up to speed on this!  Many thanks, Dee

How do I turn on the 'get replies to this thread'?  I'm new here and can't seem to figure out how to work things.

In the top left hand corner click on "enable e-mail subscription".

It would be unwise to invest all your life savings in any one investment, whatever that was and where-ever it was based. Risk is significantly reduced when you spread your investment over many  different investents and markets ("the portfolio effect"). Property can be a very good place to invest your money, but at the moment (due to the credit crunch and uncertain markets) should only be entered into with caution.

There is still uncertainty in the US market, so this is not the time for a first time investor to be investing there. Look for markets with stable, growing economies and a shortage of good quality housing e.g. Slovakia/Czech Republic. Your investment will be relatively safe and should also get some good gains.

As for WCP - its probably best to wait until the Fort Apache option holders have been paid out before investing.

    Jeremy

When Fort Apache is exactly  due for the payment?  could WCP extend that day as per contract or is the final one?

In theory if they extend , WCP should pay a interest rate , is it correct?

    Cheers

    FS

    Re: World Capital partners

In fact they have the right to extend for a further six months if they wish (it wouldn't surprise me if they do given the current difficulties in raising finance).

Interest is due on the balance at US base rates + 5%. Unfortunately US base rates are just 2%, so its not a great interest rate in UK terms.
