    Re: Mailbox nationwide

There was a thread about the aforementioned company on here several months ago, but it seems to have been deleted. It may have been removed because of litigation issues.
    Any ideas admin?

In summary it said that several people on SP and beyond had 'experiences' with this company that they would not wish to repeat.

    Hi Pauline,

Several people could comment on MN, however this is a public forum, and if the posts are deemed libelous, then singing-pig could get closed down.

My post above refers to a thread which had several unsatisfied customers, which may have been deleted by singing-pig's admin. to prevent litigation. Flys in the face of freedom of speech, but thats just the way it is...

One thing you could do before agreeing to any service or parting with any money, is read the small print of the companies terms and condtions (T&C). If the company has breached the T&C, i.e. not delivered as stated, they could be taken to Small Claims Court under the Sale of Goods Act.

Note: Some T&C state they only have to deliver a certain %age within a given area!

If you read the posts on here, you may find that Royal Mail are reasonably reliable. As with most services, best to go on recommendation.

    Good luck!

    Re: Mailbox nationwide

    Thanks for your reply.

We have used Royal Mail for other areas where we wished our flyers to be delivered and yes they have given us an excellent service so far!  Unfortunately they could not deliver on the dates we wanted to certain areas and that's why we went to another company.

I only looked at their T&C's after I realised there was problems (another big mistake)!!   I can safely say I have learnt my lesson and will always look into recommendations before using any company advertising services on the internet!

    Re: Mailbox nationwide

    Hi Pauline,

    Just a quick one.

If the T+C's are such that there is a fundamental change in the contract then this can be argued in or indeed out of court. This has been argued and has been successful in the past. I am not talking about the afore mentioned company.

For example. If the offer is to sell me a big bag of apples containing approximately 1000 units. I accept. I then get the bag of apples and find there is only 100 apples in the bag. The T+C's state that the bag may contain a minimum of 10% of the offer. This is a fundamental change  and can be argued.

As previously mentioned, I am not talking about any specific company or service.

But then of course one has to weigh up the cost of perusing such action if one does not has a in house lawyer.

    Good luck

    Hi,

Perhaps I should add another side to the story because you only ever hear the negative.

We have used Mailbox now for the last year distributing 50,000 per month and we've never had any issues. We find that we a pretty good response from this size drop, also doing a drop every month seems to have helped as well.
