This is a question I don't seem to be able to get a definitive answer on.

 Is Return on Investment (ROI) the same as Cash on Cash Return (CCR) the nearest I have got to an answer so far is that CCR is a type of ROI.

 That was actually the website that caused me to think anyway since it distinguished between the to and previously I had read info from Ranjan that basically implied the two where exactly the same. 

 I will have to have a closer look and do the sums myself.

Not the same. I read it this way:

CCR refers to the return on Your Money. (Your Money = The total amount of cash 'you' put in inc. deposit, fees, refurb costs monthly payments etc.)

ROI refers to the return on Your Money + Funds you Borrow. (Funds you Borrow = Mortgage, Private Investor loan etc.)
