    Re: Subway franchisee approval

    Hi,

i opened and operated two subway franchises in south wales - sold them both now.

the approval criteria is different region by region, let me know where you are and i can let you know whether all you need is a cheque book or something more thorough.

if you have any questions feel free - i have no bias towards or against subway, it can be a fantastic business in the right location.

    regards

Cheers for the reply, looking to purchase in the Lancs or Gtr Manchester area i understand the DA for Lancs is Stephen Richards n Gtr Manc Dierde Anderson. Also is the best way of finding a resale outlet is by going straight to the DA.

    Hi Leighton

Just wondering why you sold the frnachises? Was it a case of cashing in and moving onto something else or did you find that you didn't get the expected returns? It's something I was considering a while ago and just curious.

    Re: Subway franchisee approval

    Hi

sorry i took so long to reply - i never saw any follow up to my post!

i sold because we wanted to move onto something else, and to be perfectly honest, moving from sitting behind a desk to dealing with 50+ staff and closing at 4am on a sunday morning was a little too much of a culture shock.

subway is a great business - to be honest a part of me wishes i'd kept one of the stores because subway have really come on in leaps and bounds in the UK and i could be taking 6 figures out of the store every year without too much effort.

    regards

    Re: Subway franchisee approval

both good areas - the DAs are very well established (diedre anderson owns most of the stores)

get the right location and you cant do much wrong with subway, the business will take care of itself and all you need to do is watch food and staff costs.

anything else you need to know just ask!
