    Help needed to solve problem

i had a website done for my company and it was good design and did everything i wanted. I paid around £600 -£700 for it. 3 weeks later i can not get onto my website now and it sems it does not exist. I then telephoned the company to see what has happened but when i telephone them it goes on there answer message saying the company has ceased trading. What can i do as i paid £650 for the website can i get access to it or get some other web designer to get it up and running without paying too much again.

    Ouch. Sorry to hear that.

If you viewed the site, it's possible there's still a copy stored locally on your PC.

If Google's robot looked at it then there should be a copy in their cache.

    Good luck sorting this out.

Re: Help needed to solve problem

The Reason you can't see the site is probably because the hostings been taken down, easily resolved if you have the files on CD or DVD you can just get a new host. Hosting quite cheap.

You might be able to get the files from Google's Cache of the site.

I know a bit about these things if you post the url I'll try and help

Re: Help needed to solve problem

Sorry to hear about your problem. I had my site hyjacked once and decided to change my hosting company. The company that I trust the most is www.plugsocket.com

Very professional, reliable and not too expensive.

I'm assuming your company owns the domain name. This said you can get the domain's namespace changed to that of your new host therefore retaining your brand. But this isn't any good if you don't have the website code to place in your new hosting.

I hope things work out for you.

    Cheers

    Thankyou for you time
