Oh dear. I can't believe he's still getting away with it with all the vast amount of negative press on the internet. Why not avoid falling for it again by doing a 10 second google search of anyone's name before giving them your money. The most valuable way to spend 10 seconds that I can think of.

Get all the paperwork together and take it up with the Small Claims Court. You won't need a solicitor unless you want one. Very inexpensive and simple procedure. 

Sorry I don't know his address (It'd be nice to have it up here!!!)

Hi Stuart, yes a forum or a google search only takes a few seconds, it's the most basic of due diligence, but it's amazing how many people don't do it before handing over thousands of pounds. I guess it's not necessarily second nature to those of us born before the internet so it has to be learned, but boy, what a powerful tool!
