Just grabbed a few books off my bookshelf which you may find useful and save you a few bob:
"Technical Analysis Explained" Martin J Pring fantastic "Bible"
"The Way to Trade" John Piper, He's a Brit, heard him speak for an hour, excellent.
And a cracker, "Trading for a Living" Dr Alexander Elder. Also covers the psychological bit. This is a book that I often re-read.
With TA, I do know some people prefer the structure of a seminar. I do not and have always preferred to teach myself. I must admit, I haven't heard much of Darren Winters - his books, if he has any, are not on the standard recommended lists.
Anyone serious about TA should look at the Society of Technical Analysts at
http://www.sta-uk.org
Give them a call and ask what they think of the seminar/or what they offer as alternative.
Shop around and best wishes.
