I am thinking about attending Darren Winters training. Has anyone been on this course?

I am thinking about attending Darren Winters training on 11-12 June! Has anyone been on this course? Is it worth it?  I would be very grateful for any feedback about this seminar?

I haven't attended his seminar but have seen a thread about darren winters which was generally positive. My experience with this type of seminar is that you can get all the information cheaper both fundamentally and technical from various books, but the seminars put together various indicators and filters in a ready to use package and networking with others on the course can be interesting and educational. How much is the course by the way?If you look on traders library website you will find many video/cd taped seminars some of which I have purchased and recomend, others I wouldn't.Perhaps you can get some base information if its a system,% accuracy, average win/loss,largest drawdown, minimum needed to trade, length of shortest/longest trade to name a few.If you attend please keep us posted about your opinions.

sergei I just read your pm after replying above,so I hope you won't mind if I post the reply about Ken Tresters option course.I don't use kens ideas exactly as he recommends but I found many of his stategies useful as an addition to my normal investing.I use portfolio insurance techniques including for individual stocks bought this is effectively a time stop rather than price as I am covered for losses after I go through the put strike price typically 10% below opening the trade.I also like selling (writing) options for income with high probability of profit mimimum 80%POP,Unlike ken however I use fundamental filters to select the shares I am interested in although I suspect he does the same in his own account. Its an excellant course 9 videos with many differant stategies.I also like and use dave caplans bookmaker strategies basically strangles (short) and ratio spreads again you win most of the time and this enhances income from standard dividends. One word of caution in these particular strategies you can take a large hit (loss) if you don't close out or roll naked options and in practice with individual shares I usually do credit spreads. If your looking for a system BUY Trade your way to financial freedom by Van.K.Tharp,the only book i've ever come across that covers all aspects of trading If I had to choose just one it would be van tharps book which incredibly is also the cheapest

    Dear Zulu,

I have to agree with you that the thread on Darren Winters does seem positive but after a small amount of research, I have found that all is not as it seems with him and his seminars. Have you actually been on one? I would love to know how it goes.... In the meantime, click on this link, it is the most informative article I found yet:

    www.zanet.co.uk/tradertom/documents/Winterswonderland.pdf

I like to get as much information as possible before going on any seminar and there just seems to be a lot of bad press about him, have you found the same?

Hope to hear back from you....Emma
