Hi,

I want to apply for an IPO (Initial public offering)
for shares in a new company in UK to be listed in LSE.

Can some one please tell me what all I need to do?
(Or what steps I need to take to successfully apply
for the IPO)

I don't have a broker / brokerage account in UK.
I have a free account with an intermediary company.

I need help with this too but for a company going on to the NYSE.  Did you get any advice in the end?

Contact the broker who is arranging the floatation and they will send you a prospectus to sign and return imformation about the company will be included,some IPO's are by placement which means the private investor can't take part and must buy on the open market after the float

In the uk the investors chronicle gives information about upcoming floats or sign up with a broker and ask directly for notification of upcoming IPO's

Thanks, how do I find out which broker is arranging the IPO on the NYSE?

Also do you have any advice on which broker to use for general trading?  Barclays have a great online trading system but they charge £45 for each Foreign trade.  Considering most of the companies I'm interested in are either in the US or Asia I don't like the sound of that fee!

What's generally though of as the best broker for international trading?
