I live in Hong Kong, having left the UK in the second half of 2006.
I saw better opportunities here, and so far, that seems to be true. The game is different here. Chosing the right location is important, but we are helped by a general trend of rising rates, low interest rates, and still-rising property prices.
However, I have a big exposure to Hong Kong property, and I want to be alert for signs of a bubble, or a cyclical peak. I am enjoying reading posts on SP, to learn what I can about how a market looks near a peak. I suppose I should be doing more reading of posts here from a year or so ago. And I plan to do so.
