I like the guys, I think they are an honest bunch, we work with them, they have good lawyers behind them and are doing some good projects in emerging markets. All businesses have good times, and not so good, at the heart of it, they seem to be good natured and have the intelligence to run a good business.

People must remember when dealing overseas it is a myriad of variables and to manage them all successfully is not like dealing in ones home market, hence I think Midas were unstuck before, I spoke to them about it, and they have at all points proved to be genuine and authentic in their operations. Old School thinking. ie. do the right thing, and decent lot in my opinion.

Re: MIDAS International Property Developers PLC

    Hi BulldogBago,

Yes we engaged solicitors to check over the 25% investment contracts and apart from one or two minor points which our solicitors wanted amending we were given to understand that basically the capital invested is 'safe' - it's just the interest of 25% pa which is not guaranteed against anything as such.  However, as it's paid in quarterly chunks, we were of the opinion that even if only Q1 was paid - it meant we weren't any worse off than leaving the money in a high-street bank.  As it turns out we've now had Q1, Q2 & Q3 paid i.e. 18.75% - so far so good.

We used part of the Max Gold Partnership to act on our behalf.  Obviously we're not experts ourselves at these sort of things so we felt it only prudent to get a solicitor to check over the papers for us.

    Hope this helps.

... very interested to see the outcome.  When do you receive your capital back?

Good point Propertunity Knocks, that is a good point.

I think also see that they are in bed with John Howells. Mr Howells is a wily lawyer, best lawyer 2004, 2005, so they have a good team.

At the end of the year when Twitchers gets his money back, then like most clients they may go back for more.

    Hi Nick,

According to Companies House Midas was only incorporated in April last year. I assume you must have been working with them under a previous name; what was that ?.
