    Re: Ebay ID for sale

I hear both sides of this argument but at the end of the day the purchaser is buying credibility that is NOT THEIRS

It just lowers the value of us respectable traders who have earned our own ratings

Damned dishonest if you ask me :(

I am also looking to purchase a ebay user id that has positive feedback. If you have one available please email me at DanKochlany@aol.com. Thanks

Surely if your selling your id as part of your business then its fine.

    Re: Ebay ID for sale

No, it's not fine - as the new owner of the previously honest business might be a total conman who's about to start ripping everybody off.

The only way to render the sale of an eBay business (inc ID) acceptable is to have the new owner state in LARGE print in every auction that he is not the person who earned the feedback points.

Failure to do so would render every contract invalid and every PayPal buyer could complain to PayPal and have their purchase money refunded from your account.

It would then be up to you to try getting your goods back.

    Re: Ebay ID for sale

The real value of your id would be to someone who was going to use it to fraud other users and when that happened which door would they be knocking on? There are many of these scams originating from eastern Europe

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it
