This is still looking like an enormous scam. The usual pages of words from people like Mark Andrew. So the developer tells you something and you just beleive it all? Proof and evidence is what I require. And far more important, MY MONEY BACK!

Again, I really hope I'm completely wrong and this is a bona fide development and all our money is quite safe...............Doh! Wake up people and start taking legal action. If everything's in order why don't we have any real communication from the developer who has all our money?

This is a gigantic fraud and scam.

I am not a lawyer simply a private investor.

We need to organize class action lawsuits by country of origin of investors.Any Canadians involved please contact me so we can band together and hire legal counsel to represent us ASAP before all the money disappears.

We all need to put pressure on the Government of DR (some members are likely on the take) as this is a big black eye on tourism in DR and Punta Cana.

We need investigative journalism eg "60 Minutes" in USA and W5 in Canada to expose this. Pressure on the DR government needs to be applied internationally.

I fail to see anything that proves marc's comments above to be inaccurate. I think it is about time the serious fraud office were sent in to investigate not only the developers themselves but also Emerging Earth to see if their involvement was in any way fraudulent.

I shall contact the SFO and the Trading Standards office (although admittedly they are pretty toothless) today and see if we can get them involved too. Here is the address and I suggst the more people that voice their concern the better.

Your money + time would be better used booking yourself a site visit and then making a judgment. I did and don't regret it.

I visited 6 months ago in the middle of the week, there was NO activity, not a soul in sight. The few small sale villas were going up as we've been shown, nothing else. To me this appears to be delaying tactics to appease the investors. The local real estate agent told me in the last few days that there are problems. She is spanish and will be travelling to Spain soon to try and dig up more info.

Why would a developer on a project of this size not communicate clearly and unequivocally about SPECIFIC plans, timelines etc. After all wasn't this supposed to be a HUGE project with marina, golf courses, and hundreds of units? Wake up people, we are being kept in the dark, and we are being scammed.

Every investor needs to start putting the heat on in every way they can (including legal) to get some clarification.
