I've played 101 and 202 on-line and found both are excellent. 202 is definitely the way to go though, as its more realistic than 101.
In 101 the market never crashes and good deals are fairly easy to find. But you need to master the basics in 101 before you buy 202. When I first played 202 I thought I'd never get the hang of it, as there's a lot more to it. For instance, shares can go bust and you can even have a physical landslide hit your property! But you will eventually get the hang of it.
The beauty of both e-games is playing them against other players on-line. I don't think it equates to a face to face game from what I hear (I've never played the board game version), but its a good substitute. The other major benefit of the e-games is that you can play against computer players if no real life players are around. This is particularly useful when you are getting to grips with 202.
Hope this helps.
All the best,
Stuart
