Singing Pig

Was not sure if it would make any difference to us women investors out there, but i have just started a company with my friend and long term investor who is also a woman. The company offers property sourcing services to existing and potential clients. The question is does it make a difference to other women if run by women? Your comments would be welcomed.

I believe it make no difference at all...I am a man...but having just asked two women on your behalf they both said it makes no difference at all...it is the money that is to be made and the quality of the advice that matters....

I know women investors who use male advisers, finders, brokers etc. and are quite happy.
Personally, I use some women professionals and am happy enough. In fact sometimes, I prefer to deal with women (and I am a man).

I am also a sourcer in the Northeast, and have found that I have been inundated with requests for my services as a sourcer, mainly by men (gawd that does sound awful ). However, regardless of your gender, as long as you can come up with the goods in a well thought out and professional manner, the odds for a successful enterprise are stacked in your favour.

The business is about providing residential investment opportunities. It’s important for us to understand people’s requirements in terms of their investment strategy and to see how we might be able to satisfy their requirements.

It's also important for us to understand their yield expectations or minimum cash flow requirements along with the time scale they are working towards. We know our market very well and being based in the North West of England we have access to many properties that provide for high yields in comparison to the rest of the country. Typical house prices would be sub £45k with rents averaging at £325pm.

 Well done for setting up your business, hope it gives you lots of satisfaction. I am really pleased to see more women getting into the business even though it makes no difference to me if my associates are men or women it is great that the female side of the equation is starting to "stack up"!!
