    Shoe fanatics everywhere

I've just created a shoe-o-holic's meetup group on www.meetup.com. Check out the London shoexchange meetup group. Besides being fun, its also for people fed up of supporting royal mail and ebay/consignment shops for their fabulous unwanted shoes (possibly eventually other stuff). It will be on a swap basis initially but more importantly, its a great opportunity for us to dress up and wear fabulous footwear without feeling completely out of place and enjoying the strange wonderful world of shoe addiction (without actually spending the ££££).

Any guys reading this and are also into shoes are welcome to join (I've many opinions on men shoes and have completely changed my husband's shoe collection)

    Re: Shoe fanatics everywhere

Ooer, I seem to have strayed into the wrong area...

Having a morbid fear of ever being in touch with my feminine side (if indeed such a thing even exists), I feel my masculinity threatened by simply being here, so I'll keep this brief.

I consider myself to be a 'new man', and as such, I possess a pair of boots, a pair of shoes, and a pair of trainers.  This seems more than sufficient for any occasion, and even possibly excessive.

Should I cut down on my extensive shoe collection, and re-discover my roots as a 'real man'?

    Regards

    Oooh,

Lets see.... I'd say stick with the boots. But only if they are patent leather with heels and tie details at the back. If your boots don't fit that description, I'll give you a complimentary 'personal shopping' as long as you get the beers. After all, a girl's gotta sit after a long day of being on 3 inch heels : )

A most unwelcome image passed through my mind's eye on reading that, but I'm glad to report my boots are part of the 'combat assault' brigade, rather than the 'patent leather and heels' variety.

However, personal shopping or not, a girl who wears 3 inch heels is welcome to a bunch of beers on me any day of the week!

I approached this thread in a similar vein..."why am I here" I thought (not in the meta-physical sense), and set about inventing a damn good reason. A reason that didn't involve the highly likely presence of female poster's or spark questions about my sexuality.

This is the best I could do...

My wife is into shoes and boots in a big way...which in the right circumstances is not a bad thing Devil

    Re: Shoe fanatics everywhere

This is really strange. The responses I have got so far (including outside sp) have all been from males!! Hmmm, what say you ladies?

Not that there's any probs with that. I think its a great opportunity to get out of the shoe closet :)

Chata, I believe my husband feels the same about my collection and so everyone's happy! There is the slight issue of amount of real estate and storage solutions once you're over the 100 mark (I have no idea how many pairs I have, its scary)
